Senior Principal Product Owner

Role overview

A senior Product Owner opportunity bridging U.S. Air Force stakeholders, development teams, and end users to deliver high-quality digital products. Responsibilities

- Define and articulate the long-term product vision, strategy, outcome-driven roadmap, and backlog aligned to business strategy. - Lead verbal and written communication with senior, executive-level stakeholders using facilitation methods that drive participation. - Make timely decisions on features, scope, and priorities based on stakeholder input, market analysis, and team feedback. - Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to reflect highest business value and alignment with the product vision. - Author clear user stories with acceptance criteria and champion user-centered design across internal teams and customers. - Translate stakeholder needs into backlog items while persuading senior audiences to adopt new perspectives on complex problems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, or Engineering. - At least 7 years of relevant Product Management experience. - Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and Lean Product Management principles. - Demonstrated experience leading products from idea to market, including user-centered design and usability testing. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. - Experience working in balanced teams to build, measure, and learn within rapid, iterative development environments.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of U.S. Air Force digital services trends and emerging technologies. - Experience applying user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops to product decisions. - Background in the design or development of full-service applications.
