Product Engineer

Role overview Build and improve a product that helps manufacturers gather, verify, and share sustainability information across complex supply chains. The work spans user-facing features and backend services, with an emphasis on understanding customer problems and delivering maintainable software in a small, evolving environment.

Responsibilities - Develop product features across frontend and backend systems. - Turn customer and product needs into practical technical solutions. - Investigate bugs and improve reliability and maintainability. - Collaborate with engineers, product colleagues, and customers, communicating decisions clearly. - Contribute to technical discussions and explain when an approach could be improved.

Requirements - Experience building and maintaining production software, including finding and fixing bugs. - A user-focused approach and willingness to understand a problem before implementing a solution. - Comfort working with limited structure, such as in a startup or early-stage team. - Clear written and verbal communication across technical and nontechnical teams. - Based in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU, with the ability to travel to The Hague about once a week if practical; this is not required.

Nice to have - Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, MySQL, Git, or styled components. The team is open to engineers transitioning from other languages and platforms.

Benefits and work setup - Remote or hybrid work, with the role based in the Netherlands. - Salary range of €65,000–€110,000, depending on experience.
