Job details
About this role
Role overview Embed with a government-facing client to discover operational needs and deliver full stack software into secure, constrained environments. You will own work from conversations with users through implementation and deployment, balancing hands-on engineering with clear communication and sound technical judgment.
Responsibilities - Work with users, product owners, and technical and security teams to understand workflows and identify useful improvements. - Build and ship production features across user interfaces, APIs, data, and infrastructure. - Deploy and troubleshoot software in on-premises, government cloud, or restricted-network environments. - Prototype from ambiguous requirements, gather feedback, and iterate quickly with users. - Develop LLM-enabled features and agent workflows that respect security and data-handling constraints. - Prepare code and documentation for security review and coordinate with compliance stakeholders; share field learnings with the wider engineering team.
Requirements - Active US Secret clearance or higher, US citizenship, and ability to maintain the clearance; new clearance sponsorship is unavailable. - At least five years of professional full stack development experience delivering production software. - TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, preferably React, plus backend experience in Python, Node.js, Java, or Go. - Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs and working with relational databases, including data modeling and query performance. - Hands-on Docker and CI/CD experience, along with cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Confidence working directly with clients, explaining technical choices plainly, and making progress without a complete specification.
Nice to have - Kubernetes or OpenShift experience, and familiarity with government cloud regions. - Experience with self-hosted or approved AI models, AI coding tools, and security-conscious agent workflows.
