Engineering Manager

Role overview This Engineering Manager role leads a Web Experiences team focused on building the interfaces where developers interact with a continuous integration and delivery platform during an AI-driven reinvention of the field. The position combines people leadership with hands-on technical judgment, shipping meaningful product improvements at startup speed while shaping how customers perceive and adopt the platform.

Responsibilities - Recruit, onboard, and retain a diverse engineering team; build psychological safety so engineers can take smart risks and exchange candid feedback - Run regular one-on-ones, set goals, coach, mentor, and support career growth across the team - Ensure incremental delivery of high-quality work in collaboration with Design, Product, and Data partners, balancing speed with sustainability - Engage with stakeholders and customers to gather feedback and translate usage insights into team priorities - Maintain transparency and efficiency with peer development teams and contribute to broader engineering management initiatives - Hold the team to an AI-native engineering bar, evaluate technical direction using AI tools, and champion observability practices that ground decisions in operational data - Grow the team's expertise in frontend performance, reliability, and maintainable architecture

Requirements - Prior experience in a people management role, ideally in a fast-paced startup setting - Track record of building cohesive teams that trust and hold one another accountable - Familiarity with modern software engineering practices and agile methodologies - Hands-on AI-native mindset with informed opinions on where AI tools help versus hinder - Experience leading and motivating a distributed or remote-first team - Ability to evaluate frontend architecture, spot quality issues, and raise the craft bar (React, TypeScript or similar)

Nice to have - Direct experience managing frontend-leaning full-stack teams shipping with modern frameworks
