[Job-31630] Mid Level Data Engineer, Brazil

Role overview A mid-level data engineering role based in Brazil, embedded in a global team that builds modern data platforms for enterprise clients. The work centers on designing, building, and maintaining scalable pipelines on Databricks and PySpark, sitting on top of Data Lake architectures within an Azure cloud environment. You will partner with international stakeholders and technical teams, contributing to ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows that power downstream analytics and AI use cases.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and PySpark, ensuring reliability, scalability, and ease of maintenance. - Build and operate ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows against Data Lake environments. - Integrate data from a variety of sources and databases, including relational and NoSQL systems. - Work with Python, Azure services, and Kafka for streaming and integration use cases. - Interact with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Couchbase as part of pipeline and integration work. - Troubleshoot pipeline incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute continuous improvements. - Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders in an English-speaking environment, attending meetings and aligning on requirements.

Requirements - Professional experience in data engineering, with hands-on use of Databricks and PySpark. - Solid understanding of Data Lake concepts and modern data processing patterns. - Working knowledge of Python and the Azure cloud platform. - Familiarity with Kafka and core streaming or integration concepts. - Experience working with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Couchbase. - Advanced English at B2 or above, with confidence in meetings and written communication.

Nice to have - Experience with cloud-native data platforms and modern data architecture patterns. - Exposure to large-scale data processing and distributed systems. - Familiarity with data integration, streaming, and distributed processing tooling. - Background working in Agile teams across multiple countries.
