Epic Tapestry Utilization Management (UM) Analyst

Role overview Configure and support Epic Tapestry Utilization Management (UM) tools for healthcare operations. You’ll work with clinical, operational, and technical teams to improve authorization and review workflows, support system changes, and help meet applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities - Build, configure, test, and maintain Tapestry UM functionality. - Support workflows for prior authorizations, referrals, inpatient admissions, concurrent reviews, and medical necessity decisions. - Improve authorization processes, review queues, workqueues, and decision support based on operational needs. - Support implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrated testing, go-lives, and ongoing production troubleshooting. - Coordinate with teams responsible for claims, membership, provider management, and clinical applications to support connected workflows. - Document functional requirements and test scenarios, assist end users, and support compliance with CMS and NCQA standards.

Requirements - Epic Tapestry Utilization Management certification is required. - Hands-on experience building, configuring, testing, and optimizing Tapestry UM. - Working knowledge of managed care operations, prior authorization, referrals, and utilization review. - Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, and production environments. - Ability to analyze workflows, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical improvements. - Clear communication skills and experience working across clinical, operational, and IT teams.
