Job details
About this role
Role overview
A Staff Product Manager will own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a fleet software suite that supports commercial vehicle operators, including telematics and fleet management tools as well as emerging platforms for truck and autonomous vehicle fleets. This is an individual-contributor leadership role that pairs deep customer engagement with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams to ship software that fleet operators rely on daily.
Responsibilities
- Drive the product vision, prioritization, and success metrics for established fleet platforms and new products targeting commercial truck charging and autonomous vehicle operations. - Identify gaps in current customer experiences and lead continuous improvement of existing platforms while they scale to larger operator segments. - Translate customer interviews, market signals, and business priorities into product requirements, user stories, and outcome-based goals. - Partner with engineering and design throughout delivery, contributing to architecture, API, and data-pipeline conversations at a strategic level. - Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, and data science to align on opportunities and execute go-to-market plans that drive adoption. - Engage directly with fleet customers and prospects to surface workflows, pain points, and emerging software needs, and communicate product vision, progress, and trade-offs to stakeholders from engineering teams to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 12 years of product management experience focused on software products, ideally in fleet management, telematics, mobility, energy management, or adjacent SaaS platforms. - Demonstrated ability to evolve mature platforms while simultaneously defining greenfield products from concept through launch. - Technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineering on software architecture, APIs, and data pipelines without writing code. - Customer-obsessed and data-driven, with a track record of turning qualitative insight and quantitative analysis into prioritized decisions. - Strong communication skills for translating complex technical and commercial concepts into clear, structured narratives for diverse audiences. - Based in North America and able to operate as a strategic individual contributor within a matrixed organization.
Nice to have
- Direct experience working with fleet operators, commercial vehicle customers, or logistics companies.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position based in North America. - Base salary range of $178,500–$241,500 per year, with eligibility for new-hire and annual merit-based RSU grants. - Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); paid time off; parental leave; life and disability insurance; and wellness resources.
