About this role
Role overview Build, operate, and secure network infrastructure supporting data centers, cloud environments, corporate networks, and AI compute systems. This is a remote, U.S.-based individual contributor role bridging network security and network operations, with occasional travel to offices or data center sites.
Responsibilities - Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, and security controls across data center, corporate, and AWS environments. - Remotely support data center network deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. - Manage inbound and outbound controls including NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies, and egress policies. - Implement and operate VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi-Fi, and vendor or partner connectivity. - Automate network and security workflows using Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, Python, and policy-as-code tooling. - Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and cloud networking issues, and maintain documentation, runbooks, and incident coordination across distributed teams.
Requirements - 7+ years of experience in network security, network engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security. - Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, routing, switching, VPNs, and troubleshooting. - Experience supporting data center and on-premises infrastructure with remote hands. - Working knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, transit gateways, security groups, load balancers). - Experience with platforms such as Palo Alto, Juniper, or Cloudflare. - Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitOps, or comparable automation tooling, plus solid understanding of ZTNA, NAC, TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS.
Nice to have - Background in AI, HPC, or large-scale compute; ZTNA and VPN architecture design; DNS filtering, SWG, proxy, or SASE platforms; or network detection and incident response.
