Principal Product Manager - Customer Zero

Role overview A leading integration and automation platform (iPaaS) is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own its internal "Customer Zero" program, the practice of running the company on its own technology. The role is the dedicated owner of a funded, strategic initiative that puts the platform to work across the organization's go-to-market, customer experience, and administrative systems, turning internal usage into a credible reference, a feedback channel into Product, and a source of friction that gets fixed before customers encounter it.

Responsibilities

- Operate the internal program as a funded initiative with a real roadmap, defined outcomes, and a steady operating rhythm that holds across competing priorities; measure success by business value delivered. - Drive adoption of the platform's own products, including agentic capabilities, integrations, and command-line tools, across internal GTM, CX, and G&A systems. - Be among the first to use new AI-powered features in real workflow; surface honest feedback and help define what "AI-first" actually looks like inside an enterprise environment. - Apply product discipline to every workstream, with clear requirements, success criteria, and prioritization grounded in adoption and business value; ship the smallest version that delivers real impact and iterate from there. - Design the underlying business processes and own the resulting solution end-to-end, weighing user needs against security, privacy, and governance considerations such as RBAC, permissions, and service accounts. - Build the prescriptive playbook Product and Sales need, including governance patterns and reference architectures, and serve as the external face of the program at flagship events and key customer or prospect conversations.

- Demonstrated ability to build something that doesn't fully exist yet, asking the questions others skip and treating ambiguity as the job. - Skill in connecting day-to-day work to the bigger picture, making trade-off decisions that serve the broader outcome. - Track record of shipping the smallest version that delivers real value, recovering quickly when something doesn't land, and iterating from real feedback rather than waiting for a perfect build. - Self-directed ownership style that moves on problems before being asked and measures success by outcomes rather than activity. - Ability to drive results through influence rather than authority, creating alignment with engineering, sales, and product leadership. - Prior product management experience supporting the internal product or a closely related domain.

- Close partnership experience with a Chief Product Officer or product organization, with a track record of influencing a public roadmap.
