Role overview A client-facing senior associate position within a risk advisory practice, helping organisations evaluate IT controls, governance, and the infrastructure that underpins their operations. The role blends IT audit, SOX compliance, cybersecurity risk, and technology roadmapping for clients across multiple industries.
Responsibilities - Perform IT risk assessments and translate findings into actionable recommendations - Execute IT internal audits evaluating IT General Controls, automated controls, application controls, and business process controls - Support SOX readiness and 404 compliance work, including access, change management, and SDLC controls - Assess IT governance, third-party risk, and controls against frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, and NIST - Evaluate cybersecurity risks tied to cloud, AI, automation, business continuity, and disaster recovery - Lead client walkthroughs, interviews, status meetings, and engagement planning; mentor junior staff
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Accounting, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field - Three or more years in IT audit, IT risk, internal audit, SOX, information security, or IT risk advisory - Working knowledge of ITGCs, automated controls, and business process controls - Understanding of networks, cloud platforms, databases, operating systems, and enterprise applications - Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Willingness to travel up to 25 percent to support client engagements
Nice to have - Progress toward or completion of CISA, CPA, CISSP, CRISC, or CIA - Experience with SOX 404, COSO, COBIT, or ERP environments such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics - Familiarity with GRC platforms, data analytics, or automation tools
