Role overview
This position guides enterprise customers through a multi-phase transformation to a converged, cloud-delivered networking and security platform. The Technical Project Manager acts as a trusted advisor and delivery lead, coordinating multiple work streams across distributed internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth, on-time implementations. The role blends hands-on planning with stakeholder communication, financial oversight, and cross-team coordination for technically complex global deployments.
Responsibilities
- Lead several concurrent, cross-functional deployment projects across multiple geographies, with each program containing parallel work streams such as service provisioning, ISP circuit activation, and partner-managed field deployment - Build and maintain project artifacts including schedules, milestone plans, dependency maps, action item logs, risk and issue registers, and written status updates for varied stakeholders - Track time-and-materials burn rate and forecast consumption, and communicate financial status transparently to customers throughout the engagement lifecycle - Define and assign roles and responsibilities for the technical staff required during enterprise rollouts - Partner closely with sales engineering and professional services engineering teams to scope, plan, and execute deployments, including running technical review sessions and ensuring timely delivery of milestones - Work with customer success leadership to refine delivery practices and drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction
Requirements
- At least five years managing complex, cross-functional, global technical deployment projects - Solid grasp of project management processes, frameworks, and methodologies, applied in practice - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical detail for mixed technical and non-technical audiences - Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities, including setting guidelines that other team members follow - Track record managing and reporting on budget consumption and burn-rate forecasts - Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies such as routing, switching, and firewalls - Strong personal accountability for decisions and team outcomes, plus the ability to collaborate effectively across global time zones - Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal

- Background in SaaS or subscription-based business models - Experience in telecommunications, internet service procurement, or service provider deployment processes - Familiarity with the software development lifecycle - Comfort working in a highly collaborative environment with a teamwork-first mentality - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a knack for spotting obstacles early and mitigating proactively - PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or comparable professional project management certification - Willingness to travel up to 25%
