About this role
Role overview
The Workplace Technology Engineer owns the internal systems that keep a fast-scaling cloud-native infrastructure company running, spanning Google Workspace, cloud access across GCP and AWS, SaaS tooling, endpoint security, and end-user IT support. It is a builder role with significant compliance scope: the engineer shapes access provisioning, audit-ready documentation, and automation that supports SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS efforts. Based in Lithuania, the position suits someone who enjoys owning a broad surface area and partnering closely with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage identity and access across a SaaS-heavy stack (Slack, 1Password, GitHub, GitLab, and similar tools) plus cloud access administration across GCP and AWS. - Run employee onboarding and offboarding with accurate, timely provisioning and deprovisioning across all systems. - Administer Google Workspace, including users, groups, SSO, MFA, security settings, and account lifecycle. - Maintain endpoint compliance through encryption, antivirus, software updates, and device inventory. - Produce clear documentation and audit-ready records supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS controls. - Provide day-to-day internal IT support, troubleshooting access, tooling, and device issues while automating repetitive work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT administration, workplace technology, systems administration, or hands-on IT support. - Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace administration. - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure), especially around users, roles, and permissions. - Track record managing identity and access in a SaaS-heavy environment. - Solid understanding of SSO, MFA, and least-privilege access principles. - Fluent English with clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment. - Prior work in a SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS certified environment. - Familiarity with compliance platforms such as Drata or Vanta. - Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or automation for IT processes. - Relevant cloud or security certification. - Basic understanding of security incident response.
Benefits and work setup
- Gross monthly salary of €3,500–€4,200, plus equity options. - Private health insurance from day one and extra days off to support work-life balance. - Remote-first, flexible working environment with equipment and learning budgets included. - Team-building budget and access to company events.
