About this role
Role overview This is a fully remote Senior Software Developer III position based in Colombia, working on cloud-native, distributed SaaS platforms used by accounting and audit professionals worldwide. The role combines hands-on coding, technical leadership, architecture design, and mentorship across teams building audit, financial reporting, and analytics software.
Responsibilities - Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that deliver near-term value and align with the platform vision - Lead technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions - Partner with architects and tech leads to define and execute the product and platform roadmap - Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health when making technical decisions - Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and incident response - Mentor developers through design reviews and AI-augmented development sessions - Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and cloud capabilities that could benefit the platform
Requirements - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, plus 8+ years of professional software development with impact beyond a single team - Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, ideally on AWS - Strong software fundamentals including OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles - Hands-on experience building microservice architectures with Java 25 and Spring Boot - Deep expertise in Angular or an equivalent SPA framework, plus TypeScript - Proven experience owning front-end architecture and design-system strategy at scale - Strong track record with accessibility (WCAG) and front-end performance optimization - Experience mentoring developers and influencing architecture across teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Nice to have - Experience with agentic-AI software development practices - Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL
