Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) Engineer

Role overview A federal modernisation programme is hiring a Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) Engineer to design, support, and maintain secure access infrastructure across distributed field sites. The role combines hands-on administration of enterprise PACS platforms with responsibility for the supporting Windows and SQL Server environment.

Responsibilities - Support and maintain Physical Access Control Systems across field sites. - Administer and troubleshoot Gallagher and C•CURE PACS platforms. - Manage supporting Windows Server and SQL Server infrastructure. - Provide field-site technical support and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. - Support ePACS deployments, automation, and environment maintenance, including database and connectivity troubleshooting. - Document recurring issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.

Requirements - 2+ years of hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Gallagher and/or C•CURE PACS platforms. - Experience with Windows Server and SQL Server. - Familiarity with networking, field hardware, and system connectivity. - Experience supporting system deployments, maintenance, or automation. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have - Experience with Lenel physical access control systems. - Experience with DevOps tools and practices. - Experience supporting distributed or remote field-site infrastructure. - Relevant PACS/ePACS certifications.
