About this role
Role overview Help operate and improve cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production reliability for a business travel platform. You’ll take agreed work from investigation through implementation and verification, with onboarding, technical discussion, and code review from a small DevOps team.
Responsibilities - Run and improve AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads using Terraform and GitOps. - Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate recurring operational tasks. - Investigate production incidents, strengthen monitoring and alerting, and address recurring failure causes. - Improve infrastructure security, access controls, backups, and recovery processes. - Plan infrastructure changes with clear scope, validation, and rollback steps where appropriate. - Document work and handoffs, and take part in a shared on-call rotation after onboarding.
Requirements - Hands-on experience operating production infrastructure on AWS. - Practical Terraform knowledge, including plans, state, existing resources, and change impact. - Experience running and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads. - Working knowledge of Linux, networking, IAM, and application troubleshooting. - Ability to write and maintain scripts or small tools that simplify operations. - Careful production judgment and clear communication about progress, blockers, risks, and incomplete work.
Nice to have - Experience with Flux, Helm, GitHub Actions, monitoring tools, database operations and recovery, Python or Go, or security and compliance automation.
