Project Manager

Role overview

A customer-facing Project Manager role within a Professional Services organization, guiding enterprise clients through discovery and implementation of a flexible software suite used for fund administration, including eligibility, contributions, claims, pension, and annuity workflows. The position blends software delivery, change management, and cross-functional coordination so that customers transition smoothly from prior systems and realize value from the platform.

Responsibilities

- Lead client implementations of the proprietary software from kick-off through go-live and transition to support - Manage stakeholder communications, escalations, and expectations across internal and external audiences - Build project plans and continuously update scope, schedule, budget, and estimates using an online professional services automation tool - Maintain accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery along with regular forecasting of project financials - Identify risks to budget, timeline, and quality and develop mitigation strategies - Coordinate with sales, support, engineering, and technical services to address customer needs - Lead requirements gathering, estimation, and proposal creation, then coordinate handoffs to engineering to keep deliverables on track

Requirements

- Three or more years planning and managing implementation of enterprise-level software or IT consulting projects for external stakeholders, including ownership of budget and schedule - Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methods and principles - Experience with online professional services automation tools such as Adaptive Insights/PlanView or SmartSheet - Strong MS Office skills and excellent analytical ability - Demonstrated creative problem-solving on complex projects, plus strong interpersonal skills - Bachelor's degree in a related discipline - Hands-on use of generative AI tools such as Claude or Copilot to improve productivity and quality
