Insurance Domain Engineer

Role overview Turn complex reinsurance operations into reusable product models and help customers bring their workflows into production. This forward-deployed engineering role combines domain discovery, data modeling, implementation, and product feedback so that client needs can be handled through general configuration rather than one-off code.

Responsibilities - Lead new customer launches by learning their operations, modeling their data and workflows, and supporting an end-to-end rollout. - Represent domain needs in product decisions covering submissions, underwriting, renewals, endorsements, bordereaux, binders, capacity, and reinsurance. - Translate operational requirements into declarative models that can serve multiple types of insurance organizations. - Work directly with customer operations teams and stay engaged through production until the solution works in practice. - Identify workarounds and implementation friction, then advocate for reusable product improvements.

Requirements - Ability to turn complex operational processes into clean, reusable data models, favoring configuration over hardcoded client-specific behavior. - Experience in a complex, regulated operational domain; insurance or InsurTech experience is relevant, as are fintech and other B2B operations. - Solid data modeling skills, including SQL, schemas, and relationships, with enough technical depth to implement solutions. - Comfort working directly with customers and investigating their data and workflows. - Spanish and strong English for collaboration with teams and customers in Latin America and the United States. - Engineering background is desired.

Nice to have - Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance operations. - Experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering for a B2B SaaS product.
