About this role
Role overview Build, enhance, and support cloud applications that address business needs. The work covers the software lifecycle—from translating user needs and designing cloud-native solutions to integrating data, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operational documentation—with attention to security, reliability, and risk.
Responsibilities - Develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable cloud applications using suitable programming and scripting languages. - Design cloud-native solutions and adapt existing applications for cloud environments. - Integrate data sources while addressing compatibility and security concerns. - Create development environments, continuous integration pipelines, and workflows that follow cloud architecture practices. - Improve application and infrastructure performance, and document instructions for cloud operations. - Translate user needs into technical specifications and provide analytical and technical guidance to business teams.
Requirements - Typically five to seven years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Advanced capability in cloud computing and solutions, software development, scripting, troubleshooting, the software development lifecycle, and cloud storage. - Intermediate knowledge of databases, configuration management, elastic computing, SaaS, PaaS, cloud security, and IT automation. - Familiarity with Agile practices and strong analytical, communication, collaboration, customer-focused, and data-informed decision-making skills. - Sound judgment when diagnosing non-routine issues and making decisions within security, policy, and regulatory requirements.
Benefits and work setup The position is remote. The stated annual salary range is $70,000–$150,000; compensation depends on factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
