Senior Agentic AI Engineer

Role overview A 15-month enterprise engagement is staffing senior engineers to ship production-grade agentic AI for a global client, working in small senior pods. The work spans ideation through deployment, building reusable agent skills on Palantir Foundry and AIP, Azure, Databricks, and frontier LLMs, with capabilities that compound across multiple business workflows.

Responsibilities - Own agentic AI use cases end to end, from ideation and rapid experimentation through development, testing, and production deployment. - Design and build modular agent skills and tools that compose to support multiple business workflows. - Model and extend the Foundry Ontology (Object Types, Link Types, Action Types, Interfaces) to ground agents in trusted enterprise data. - Build LLM-driven workflows with AIP Logic, AIP Automate, and AIP Assist, and engineer data pipelines spanning structured and unstructured sources across Foundry, Azure, and Databricks. - Define semantic layers, ontologies, and context layers that supply agents with the right business context, and select, deploy, and cost-optimize models from leading providers via Azure AI Foundry and Databricks Genie. - Maintain GitHub repositories and automated CI/CD pipelines for secure, repeatable releases, and partner with client stakeholders in discovery sessions while mentoring pod teammates.

Requirements - 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, data science, or LLM engineering, with production work on cloud platforms. - Proven agentic AI delivery across the full lifecycle, including building composable agent skills and tools. - Hands-on experience deploying LLMs from major providers, with a clear view of model selection, trade-offs, and cost. - Data engineering experience with structured and unstructured data for AI applications such as RAG, retrieval, and document processing. - Experience with Azure (including Azure AI Foundry) and/or Databricks (including Databricks Genie), plus GitHub and DevOps skills for production CI/CD. - Strong Python and SQL, comfort in a rapid build-and-ship environment, and availability for the full 15-month engagement. Clear written and verbal communication in English, with experience engaging client stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have - Palantir Foundry and AIP experience, ideally having taken a use case end to end on the platform. - Depth in Foundry Core components such as Ontology Manager, Data Lineage, CBAC, Ontology Linter, and Marketplace. - Experience defining semantic layers or context spines on Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus DevSecOps skills including secrets management, security scanning, and policy controls in CI/CD. - Palantir certifications, experience fine-tuning LLMs, or background with retail or CPG data such as promotions, pricing, and space planning.
