Role overview
This is a senior product leadership role that combines hands-on product ownership with people management in a fast-paced, experimentation-driven environment. The hire will own a meaningful area of the product portfolio while directly managing three product managers who lead other product lines. The work centers on serving sophisticated customers in crypto and onchain capital markets, including institutional investors, exchanges, enterprises, and crypto-native companies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop three product managers, providing clear expectations, direct feedback, and space for real ownership of their products - Convert customer needs, business objectives, and market opportunities into focused priorities, navigating difficult tradeoffs to keep teams on the highest-value problems - Build deep customer intuition through ongoing conversations with exchanges, institutional investors, enterprises, and crypto companies to surface problems worth solving - Improve product team operations through stronger discovery, prioritization, and feedback practices that help teams ship faster and decide better - Break ambitious bets into incremental releases, study product usage, and iterate continuously based on what is and is not working
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years directly managing other product managers - Track record of owning a meaningful product area from discovery through launch, with documented decisions and outcomes - Ability to prototype quickly using AI tools to communicate ideas without creating a time sink - Experience building enterprise software for sophisticated users, ideally combining complex data, content, and workflow components - Comfort with technical product considerations including APIs, data models, and integrations - History of improving how a product team operates, whether through discovery, planning, prioritization, or development processes
Nice to have
- Background building products for institutional investors, asset managers, exchanges, or other financial market participants - Experience with products embedded in investor or analyst workflows, particularly around asset discovery and underwriting - Understanding of crypto markets and how the industry operates, with direct experience building products for professional or institutional users - Zero-to-one product launches or commercialization work alongside sales and marketing, including pricing and packaging decisions
