QA Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead the quality function for a portfolio of Bitcoin and blockchain products ranging from layer-2 protocols to consumer wallets. The QA Engineering Manager will set test strategy, grow a distributed QA team, and partner closely with engineering, product, and DevOps leaders to keep releases safe and predictable.

Responsibilities - Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, cultivating a culture centered on quality and shared ownership. - Define and oversee test strategies that cover functional, performance, security, and regression scenarios across blockchain applications and APIs. - Architect and maintain automated testing frameworks and best practices that continuously raise the quality bar. - Partner with developers during feature reviews to flag testability concerns and confirm new functionality is properly validated. - Run defect tracking and reporting, ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication of QA metrics, progress, and risks. - Coordinate with DevOps to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and optimize execution in cloud environments, while staying current on blockchain and fintech QA trends.

Requirements - At least five years of software QA experience, including two or more years leading or managing QA teams, preferably in fintech, blockchain, or security-driven environments. - Deep understanding of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, paired with strong automation testing framework expertise. - Hands-on experience with API testing tools, scripting languages, and performance testing tools. - Working knowledge of security testing methods, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. - Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills, with a track record of thriving in fast-paced, remote-first organizations.
