About this role

Role overview A remote Lead Engineer position is open for a wealth management application, focused on taking technical ownership of complex products and systems while raising the engineering bar across the team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where the engineer will design systems, write and review code, solve difficult engineering problems, guide other engineers, and drive major initiatives from idea through to production. The work spans backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure for financial applications serving a large regional user base.

Responsibilities - Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives from ideation through production release. - Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems spanning backend services, frontend experiences, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. - Stay hands-on with engineering through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and resolving production incidents. - Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs that balance speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Break ambiguous product and technical problems into clear engineering solutions and execution plans. - Mentor engineers, review designs and code, and help strengthen technical capability across the team. - Work closely with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality products quickly.

Requirements - Strong software engineering background with significant experience building and shipping production systems. - Deep technical expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure. - Strong system design and architecture skills with experience making technical decisions for complex or high-scale systems. - Strong coding ability and willingness to remain hands-on, including debugging complex issues and working directly with production systems. - Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers. - Strong product sense and ability to connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes. - Comfortable working fast with ambiguity and taking ownership from problem definition through production.

Nice to have - Experience working across multiple countries and time zones in a distributed international team. - Strong judgment around when to move quickly, when to simplify, and when deeper engineering investment is required.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position with global hiring across multiple countries and time zones. - Fast-track interview process designed to reach an offer within approximately one week for strong candidates. - English is the primary working language across global teams, and strong written and verbal communication is required.
