Lead Engineer - Stock Trading App

Role overview Lead Engineer for a stock trading mobile application, taking technical ownership of complex financial products and systems from idea to release. This is a hands-on leadership position that balances system architecture with day-to-day coding, while mentoring engineers and raising the overall engineering quality bar. The work sits within a global fintech environment focused on making investing and money management more accessible.

Responsibilities - Lead the technical design and delivery of major trading features, products, and platform initiatives end to end. - Architect scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend services, frontend clients, APIs, data layers, and cloud infrastructure. - Stay close to the code through prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and resolving production incidents. - Translate ambiguous product and engineering problems into clear technical plans and execution roadmaps. - Set and uphold standards for code quality, testing, security, observability, and production reliability. - Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality trading experiences quickly.

Requirements - Significant software engineering experience building and operating production systems at a serious scale. - Deep expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure. - Strong system design skills with a track record of architecture decisions for complex or high-scale platforms. - Proven ability to lead major engineering projects and influence other engineers through reviews and mentorship. - Comfort working in ambiguity, owning problems from definition through production, and balancing speed with technical rigor. - Strong product sense, connecting technical decisions to customer and business outcomes, plus fluent English communication.
