Security Engineer Manager

Role overview This leadership role directs the strategy and engineering behind a unified remote workspace platform spanning collaboration, productivity, identity, and zero-trust access. Reporting to senior leadership on security posture and progress, the position manages managers across multiple product domains and shapes how AI assistants are securely integrated into the workspace.

Responsibilities - Define the roadmap for the workspace platform, balancing collaboration, productivity, identity, and zero-trust access - Set and own organizational objectives, reporting progress, risks, and security posture to senior leadership - Own the enterprise collaboration platform including messaging, meetings, calendar, and desktop and mobile clients - Lead the global zero-trust access platform serving employees, services, and AI agents across multi-tenant, multi-cloud environments - Drive secure enablement of AI assistants with appropriate identity, delegated authorization, and human-in-the-loop controls - Oversee offensive security, vulnerability management, and incident response, embedding detection expertise into the access platform - Build a strong bench of engineering, product, and support leaders, and evolve the org toward use-case-based dynamic teams

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - 10+ years of software or security engineering experience including 5+ years managing multi-team organizations - Proven track record building large-scale platforms in collaboration, IAM, or zero-trust networking - Deep expertise in zero-trust architecture, OAuth-based authorization, secrets management, encryption, and incident response - Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python with the technical depth to review architecture across backend services, clients, and networking - Experience leading distributed, fully remote teams across time zones - Excellent communication with executives, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have - Background building enterprise products that serve both internal teams and external partners - Experience in real-time communication such as audio/video or end-to-end encrypted messaging - Background building open platforms or developer ecosystems
