About this role
Role overview Create practical documentation for Revit plugins and their supporting platform, helping working modellers understand what tools do, what their models need to support, and how to respond when something goes wrong. The role is a contract engagement of about two days per week, with work scoped quarterly.
Responsibilities - Document how each tool works and the conditions or model requirements it depends on. - Explain troubleshooting steps for tools that fail or behave unexpectedly. - Write for busy professional users rather than an API-focused developer audience. - Base documentation on the running product, checking how features behave in practice. - Maintain documentation in a repository using Markdown, branches and review comments.
Requirements - Experience documenting software for professional users, with examples of completed work. - Ability to inspect a working product and write from observed behavior. - Skill in explaining technical limitations clearly and accurately. - Comfort working with repository-based documentation and review workflows.
Nice to have - Familiarity with architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) or CAD; domain knowledge can be learned.
Benefits and work setup - Remote, part-time contract role, approximately two days per week. - Scope is agreed per quarter.
