Role overview Join a mobile engineering team building digital banking products for community banks and credit unions. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will design and ship native Android experiences using Kotlin, partnering closely with product, design, and backend peers to deliver performant, user-centric features.
Responsibilities - Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality, user-centric Android experiences - Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin with strong focus on performance, scalability, and usability - Architect and implement robust, maintainable solutions aligned with long-term product goals - Participate in feature planning, technical design, and effort estimation - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex product and performance issues - Maintain and improve code quality through testing, code reviews, refactoring, and unit tests - Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and development workflows - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture
Requirements - 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years focused on Android - Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development, including scalable UI, state management, and app architecture - Proven experience designing, building, and shipping high-quality, scalable Android applications - Solid experience with architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVC and integrating RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries - Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives end-to-end and mentor engineers through code reviews - Experience with unit, UI, and TDD practices, Git workflows, and a track record in high-growth or startup environments
Nice to have - Background working on consumer-facing fintech or mobile banking applications - Strong UI/UX sensibility with intuitive user experience design
