Role overview Deliver real-time emergency service platforms to public safety agencies as part of a team modernizing 911 infrastructure with cloud and AI capabilities. This Professional Services Engineer role owns end-to-end deployments, leads technical training, and acts as a trusted advisor to public safety customers throughout implementation. The position is fully remote within the United States with up to 50 percent travel for customer meetings, training, and industry events.
Responsibilities - Plan, design, and execute end-to-end deployment projects for cloud-based call-handling solutions serving 911 Public Safety Answering Points. - Provide advanced technical training and knowledge transfer to customers during deployment. - Collaborate with engineering teams on complex technical solutions and troubleshooting. - Serve as a trusted advisor, including after-hours support during installations and post-implementation assistance. - Continuously improve deployment processes and documentation for efficiency and scalability. - Work across Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure seamless project delivery, maintaining strong communication with leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. - 8+ years of experience in a technical role related to VoIP, such as PBX or call center environments. - Proven knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure. - Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and delivering complex technical projects. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. - Experience with network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, and the OSI model. - Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time.
Nice to have - Experience in the public safety industry, such as ENP certification or NG911 familiarity. - Knowledge of Cisco UCS and/or FreeSWITCH. - Familiarity with streaming technologies including SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, Wowza, and WebRTC.
