Senior Product Manager, Payments

Role overview A senior, hands-on Product Manager position focused on payments at significant scale, where product quality directly influences merchant revenue and shopper conversion. The role owns a defined area within payments products and partner integrations, collaborating closely with engineering, design, support, and partnerships. It is deeply executional and centered on reliability, trust, and shipping quality work in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities - Own product direction and execution for a key area of the payments product, setting goals, priorities, and measurable outcomes - Improve merchant and shopper experiences across onboarding, checkout, refunds, disputes, payouts, reporting, and overall reliability - Raise product quality by reducing failures and friction, lowering support volume, and strengthening merchant trust - Use data, support signals, and merchant feedback to decide what to build next, define success measures, and make tradeoffs explicit - Collaborate with priority payments partners to improve integrations, ship changes, manage dependencies, and resolve issues - Keep stakeholders aligned through clear, direct writing about progress, risks, and decisions

Requirements - 7+ years in product roles with senior individual contributor experience owning complex problem spaces and influencing cross-functional teams - 4+ years in payments or fintech, ideally on products operating at significant scale - Strong product judgment and the ability to make good calls in ambiguous situations without perfect information - Comfort working on critical, high-trust systems where small changes can have outsized impact - Ability to work deeply with engineers and designers on complex technical problems, including constraints and tradeoffs - Strong analytical habits and a practical approach to metrics, dashboards, and instrumentation - Clear written and verbal communication suited to a distributed, asynchronous environment

Nice to have - Experience with large or global product launches - Familiarity with open-source ecosystems
