Job details
About this role
Role overview Own automation that protects important workflows across a complex software product. This senior quality engineering role translates customer use cases, product changes, and production risks into reliable coverage across user interfaces, APIs, integrations, data, and AI-powered features. It also works across product, engineering, data science, implementation, and customer teams to improve testability and release confidence.
Responsibilities - Turn workflows, acceptance criteria, incidents, and risk areas into focused automated test scenarios; select the right testing layer for each. - Build and maintain smoke, regression, integration, acceptance, and end-to-end coverage for product and data workflows. - Automate key journeys with Playwright or an equivalent tool, validate REST APIs, and use SQL to check data and reporting outcomes. - Integrate suites into CI/CD, investigate flaky failures and test-data problems, and distinguish infrastructure noise from product defects. - Validate AI-related outputs, configuration changes, edge cases, and downstream effects using repeatable scenarios and representative data. - Communicate defects and release risks clearly, and partner with developers to improve logging, observability, test data, and API contracts.
Requirements - At least 5 years in test automation, SDET, or software engineering, including ownership of automated test suites. - Production coding ability in TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, or Python. - Experience automating complex web applications with Playwright or a comparable modern tool. - REST API testing skills, including authentication, payload checks, and error handling. - SQL proficiency and experience validating data integrity and processing results. - CI/CD test integration, failure triage, test-data management, and testing asynchronous, multi-service workflows.
Nice to have - C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, or Azure experience. - Testing of LLM or machine learning features, ingestion pipelines, event-driven systems, or third-party integrations. - Background in healthcare, contact centers, or regulated environments; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
