Engineering Lead

Role overview Take hands-on ownership of a software platform, from the architecture behind data ingestion to the user-facing analysis experience. This founding engineering role combines building and shipping the current beta with planning for expansion across additional cities, while establishing the initial engineering team.

Responsibilities - Define platform architecture covering cadastral data ingestion through the analysis interface. - Write and maintain code supporting the beta and its ongoing delivery. - Plan platform development as it expands from one city to eight. - Hire and develop an initial team of three to five engineers over the next 18 months. - Make build-versus-buy decisions for critical platform components.

Requirements - At least seven years of software engineering experience on production products. - Hands-on experience with geospatial data, ETL, or data-intensive systems. - Prior technical team leadership or experience as a startup founding engineer. - Familiarity with a stack including Python, Node.js or TypeScript, relational databases, and cloud services.
