Model-Based Systems Engineer

Role overview A digital engineering team focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is hiring subject matter experts to lead modeling work across diverse, high-tech domains. The role centers on applying SysML/UML expertise and MBSE tooling to support programs spanning space systems, electric vehicles, combat vehicles, tactical communications, command and control, and adjacent areas. It is a fully remote position suited to senior engineers who can operate independently while partnering closely with peers, managers, and customers.

Responsibilities - Apply MBSE methods across multiple programs in space, ground vehicles, tactical communications, and command-and-control domains. - Ramp up quickly on unfamiliar technologies and collaborate with domain experts, engineering peers, managers, and customers. - Build SysML/UML artifacts such as use cases, activity models, and other structured system models, primarily using MagicDraw or comparable tools. - Co-author model-based requirements, interface definitions, and design specifications with cross-functional engineering teams. - Operate with minimal supervision as an expert-level user of system modeling platforms. - Contribute to a collaborative, highly technical engineering culture and engage confidently with stakeholders.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years, Master's with 6-8 years, or PhD with 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Hands-on experience with one or more of: NoMagic, MagicDraw, Cameo, SysML, UPDM, or IBM Rhapsody. - Solid systems engineering foundation with strong SysML/UML modeling capabilities. - Self-directed work style, curiosity, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
