Role overview

A senior systems engineering role that translates space-domain mission needs into technical specifications and supports international partner engagement through a Foreign Military Sales framework. The position blends deep space operations expertise with program management, policy compliance, and executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise to integrate the Space Domain Awareness mission area into the Foreign Military Sales enterprise and enable export to international partners - Coordinate stakeholders through the Technology Release and Foreign Disclosure (TRFD) process and ensure compliance with Air Force Policy Directive 16-1 - Develop and deliver high-quality written products and briefings to senior executive leadership, including SES and General Officer audiences, reporting programmatic milestones - Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and FMS policies, processes, and stakeholders to support mission objectives

Requirements

- Active Top Secret clearance with ability to maintain it - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5-7 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience - 6+ years of experience with space operations - 3+ years of experience in the Space Domain Awareness mission area - Working knowledge of FMS policies, processes, and stakeholders - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and the ability to communicate at the executive level

Nice to have

- STEM bachelor's degree - Hands-on experience with TRFD policy and processes - Familiarity with the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration and related security assistance stakeholders such as SAF/IA, Space Systems Command, AFSAC, and AFSAT - Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI

Projected compensation range: $94,910.76 to $165,031.40, with variation based on contract wage determination, relevant work experience, skills, location, education, certifications, and federal contract labor categories.
