This entry-level position supports the day-to-day operation of multi-user computing environments for a federal government contractor, with a focus on system administration and data protection tasks performed under supervision. The role blends routine technical problem-solving with security administration, offering hands-on exposure to enterprise backup infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network engineering teams as needed - Monitor and manage backup resources, including daily backups, restores, CPU and disk usage, and response times to preserve operating efficiency - Apply operating system and software patches, updates, and other security administration functions - Interact directly with customers who rely on backup services - Set up administrator accounts, keep system documentation current, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage capacity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience - CompTIA Security+ certification - Eligibility to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience supporting backup system procedures - Familiarity with Rubrik Backup & Recovery

Projected compensation range: $51,091.74 to $88,838.63, with variation based on contract wage determination, relevant work experience, skills, location, education, certifications, and federal contract labor categories.
