Staff Product Manager, Acquisition
Job details
About this role
Role overview We are hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead acquisition strategy for a cloud delivery platform focused on security, compliance, and reliability for engineering teams. The role centers on shaping the roadmap for products serving both traditional workloads and AI-native applications, including an LLM Gateway offering. This is a senior, high-ownership position partnering closely with engineering, design, and marketing to drive measurable business growth.
Responsibilities - Own acquisition KPIs including product signups, product-led customer conversions, and new ARR tied to the roadmap - Define and run a discovery process that de-risks value, feasibility, usability, and business viability alongside engineering and design - Translate discovery outcomes into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and feature bets, then unblock delivery - Enable marketing and customer success with foundational resources such as pricing, ICP, and documentation - Define success metrics, set up dashboards with analytics partners, and analyze adoption and engagement patterns - Partner with the Retention PM to balance new-customer acquisition against expansion and NDR goals
Requirements - 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, including work in fast-evolving or shifting markets - 3+ years in PaaS or developer tools, either as a PM or in an adjacent technical role such as software engineer - Demonstrated ability to communicate directly with engineering customers without translation layers - Track record operating in small, highly collaborative startup teams with a driver mindset - Comfort with 0→1 work: running customer interviews, using judgment and market research, and experimenting with prototypes and surveys - Strategic sense for navigating ambiguity and making calls without waiting for the landscape to settle
Nice to have - Experience launching or scaling product-led growth motions and self-serve onboarding flows - Familiarity with regulated industries, security/compliance tooling, or cloud infrastructure platforms - Interest in pragmatic, risk-aware engagement with AI tooling, including thoughtful use of AI agents in day-to-day work
