Role overview This position leads strategic pilots and research initiatives focused on training and evaluating legal AI models, from initial scoping through operational rollout. The role sits at the intersection of customer objectives, legal domain knowledge, and global delivery operations, shaping how legal content such as case law, contracts, statutes, and regulatory filings is prepared for frontier model development.
Responsibilities - Own the success of frontier legal AI pilots, taking emerging use cases from validation through to programs that meet defined legal quality, feasibility, and cost standards - Apply judgement on how legal materials are used for model training and evaluation, with appropriate handling of privilege, confidentiality, and jurisdictional considerations - Establish workflows, expert requirements, quality benchmarks, and rollout blueprints across the global delivery organization - Partner with researchers and clients to build trusted relationships and proven approaches that can be operationalized for future legal programs - Translate complex legal and customer requirements into scalable operational processes
Requirements - JD or equivalent law degree, plus 2+ years of experience in private practice, in-house work, legal research, or regulatory and compliance roles - 2+ years leading complex projects, operational workflows, or subject-matter initiatives - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills when working with attorneys, legal experts, researchers, and customers - Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Nice to have - Experience working with AI/ML companies, AI labs, or data annotation and evaluation projects - Background managing legal, technical, or data-intensive projects - Familiarity with legal research, contract analysis, litigation, regulatory or compliance work, or other complex legal workflows
