About this role

Role overview

Lead supplier industrialization for electrical and electronic components used in complex, high-performance systems. This cross-functional role connects engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and external suppliers to move designs from new product introduction through stable production while improving manufacturability, quality, capacity, cost, and delivery reliability.

Responsibilities

- Own supplier strategies for electrical categories such as cables, harnesses, capacitors, connectors, printed circuit boards, assemblies, and semiconductor components. - Assess supplier facilities, production capabilities, staffing, layouts, processes, and readiness for approved-supplier consideration. - Launch production tooling, manufacturing lines, and process development activities at supplier sites, ensuring requirements for performance, quality, materials, and demand are met. - Lead supplier capacity expansion, production ramp-up, statistical process control reviews, and ongoing process-performance improvements. - Identify opportunities to optimize factory layouts, reduce part cost and supply risk, prevent defects, and improve cycle time throughout the product lifecycle. - Partner with supplier quality and supply-chain teams on root-cause investigations and closure of corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical discipline. - At least six years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment. - Technical expertise relevant to electronics manufacturing, SMT processing, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. - Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

- Degree in electrical engineering or a related field. - Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or another advanced manufacturing sector. - Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and certifications. - Experience developing high-mix, low-volume products or working in a fast-moving startup environment. - Strong communication, negotiation, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
