About this role

Role overview

Lead supplier industrialization for electrical commodities from new product introduction through full production. This senior, cross-functional role works directly with suppliers and internal engineering, quality, supply-chain, and manufacturing teams to qualify designs, establish capable production, improve factory performance, and support reliable delivery of high-technology products.

Responsibilities

- Own industrialization strategies for electrical categories including cables, harnesses, capacitors, connectors, printed circuit boards and assemblies, and semiconductor components. - Assess supplier production capabilities, facilities, factory layouts, and workforce readiness for approved-supplier decisions. - Coordinate with sourcing and supplier-quality partners to ensure suppliers understand and meet part-quality requirements. - Establish tooling, production lines, materials, and processes at supplier sites, confirming they can meet performance, quality, and demand targets. - Lead capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up activities. - Drive statistical process control reviews, process improvements, layout optimization, defect reduction, cycle-time improvements, cost reduction, and supply-risk mitigation. - Support root-cause investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed with suppliers.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field. - At least six years of supplier-quality and industrialization experience in a manufacturing environment. - Technical experience relevant to electrical manufacturing, electronics production, surface-mount technology, or geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. - Ability to travel at least 50% of the time and work onsite at designated facilities, including a location in Costa Mesa, California. - Strong communication, negotiation, ownership, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

- Degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. - Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high technology, or another comparable industry. - Knowledge of quality systems, standards, and certifications; experience with high-mix, low-volume product development or fast-moving startup environments. - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
