About this role

Role overview

Lead supplier industrialization for electrical commodities across the full product lifecycle, from new product introduction to volume production. The position combines technical supplier development, production readiness, quality improvement, and cross-functional supply-chain leadership, with work performed in close partnership with suppliers and internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

- Manage electrical commodity groups such as cables, harnesses, capacitors, connectors, PCB and PCBA products, and chips. - Develop and execute supplier production strategies, including qualification, tooling, line setup, capacity expansion, and production ramp-up. - Evaluate supplier factories, facilities, layouts, workforce, processes, and capabilities for production approval. - Coordinate with sourcing and supplier-quality engineers to align suppliers with required part-quality criteria. - Establish process controls and statistical process control reviews at supplier sites. - Lead product and process improvements that reduce cost and supply risk, prevent defects, improve cycle time, and optimize factory layouts. - Work with suppliers and internal teams on root-cause investigations and close corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field. - At least six years of supplier-quality and industrialization experience in manufacturing. - Relevant technical expertise in electronics manufacturing, surface-mount processing, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, or comparable electrical production disciplines. - Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearance, with the ability to maintain it. - Ability to travel at least 50% of the time. - Ability to relocate if needed to work onsite in Costa Mesa, California.

Nice to have

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. - Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high technology, or similar industries. - Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications. - Experience with high-mix, low-volume products, fast-moving environments, and supplier negotiations. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
