About this role

Role overview A senior leadership role responsible for designing and stewarding the operating playbook for a complex, multi-product organization in K–12 education. The role pairs with business unit partners to build lightweight planning, launch, and stage-gate processes that raise rigor without adding bureaucracy, continuously simplifying what already exists.

Responsibilities - Co-design and run the cross-functional Product planning calendar, aligning annual cycles, roadmaps, and go-to-market touchpoints with Suite Leads, Resource Allocation, and GTM partners. - Unify inconsistent planning methodologies and cadences across suites by introducing the lightest framework that genuinely resolves misaligned timeframes and dependencies. - Maintain dynamic business-unit and cross-product roadmaps that surface portfolio direction and shared dependencies. - Design and standardize the end-to-end launch process, including readiness checklists, health checks, release documentation, and clean data flow into supply chain. - Steward and evolve the five-gate stage-gate process across differentiated tracks (new programs, new markets, in-market management) and orchestrate gate reviews, materials, and decision documentation. - Identify where new process infrastructure is needed and, equally, where existing process should be retired or simplified.

Requirements - 8+ years of progressive experience in business operations, program management, process design, or product operations leadership, ideally in technology, education, media, publishing, or another product- and content-driven business. - Demonstrated track record of building lightweight, well-adopted processes that teams actually use, with examples of processes deliberately simplified or retired. - Experience designing and rolling out core operating frameworks at scale, including stage gates, planning cadences, launch readiness, and scope-change governance. - Strong bias toward partnership and co-creation: listening first, prototyping with operators, and iterating publicly rather than shipping a finished framework from above. - Track record leading cross-functional product launches end-to-end, coordinating GTM, Sales, CX, Marketing, and Supply Chain. - People management experience building and growing teams of process designers, program managers, or business operators.

Nice to have - K–12 or education context, including familiarity with curriculum development, the school adoption cycle, or the American education system. - Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Benefits and work setup - Senior individual-contributor leadership scope with direct influence on how a Product organization plans, ships, and launches. - Partnership-driven culture that rewards restraint and operator empathy over heavy governance.
