Role overview
This management-level position directs technical delivery, integration architecture, and platform development for Workday engagements, with a focus on financial services clients. The role blends hands-on development with client-facing architecture leadership, ensuring that integration landscapes remain secure, scalable, and aligned with broader enterprise ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops with client project teams and stakeholders to capture technical, integration, security, and non-functional requirements. - Define integration strategy and produce architecture diagrams, interface inventories, and end-to-end data flow documentation. - Own technical delivery plans, overseeing design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization of Workday integrations. - Develop complex integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, and REST/SOAP APIs. - Architect scalable data pipelines connecting Workday with treasury systems, investment accounting platforms, payroll providers, banking platforms, data warehouses, and analytics tools. - Establish governance standards for error handling, XSLT/XML transformations, authentication, monitoring, and performance tuning, while mentoring technical team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical Workday implementation experience, including leadership of technical workstreams. - Advanced hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration security. - Strong capabilities in XSLT, XML, APIs, error handling, reconciliation, and data transformation. - Demonstrated ability to produce technical architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and end-to-end data flows. - Active Workday certifications in Creating and Securing Integrations, Workday Studio, and Workday Reporting. - Familiarity integrating Workday with financial services platforms such as investment subledgers, treasury systems, payroll providers, banking platforms, data warehouses, and reporting tools.
