Analytics Engineer

Role overview An Analytics Engineer position on a central Data team supporting Finance, Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations functions at a fast-scaling European fintech. The role focuses on transforming raw data into trusted, reusable datasets and rebuilding data foundations to enable self-service and conversational analytics across business domains.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain reusable data models, macros, and semantic layers using dbt and BigQuery. - Develop staging, intermediate, and mart models following clear data modeling principles, with quality tests, freshness checks, and documentation. - Improve lineage, ownership, and discoverability of key tables, and retire duplicated or deprecated datasets. - Mentor analysts and lead enablement around dbt, Looker, governance, and metric definitions. - Partner on the data platform roadmap and contribute to code reviews and analytics engineering standards.

Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a similar role. - Practical experience with dbt, including models, tests, and documentation. - Solid understanding of data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, keys, and relationships. - Experience with Git and pull-request-based development, plus fluency in English.

Nice to have - Familiarity with BigQuery, Looker, GCP, and Airflow or Argo. - Knowledge of Python.
