About this role

Role overview Build and improve applied AI and machine learning capabilities for product features and internal tools. This role evaluates suitable models, adapts them for specific use cases, and integrates them into production systems with attention to performance, reliability, and responsible deployment.

Responsibilities - Train and fine-tune supervised models for tasks such as classification, ranking, and embeddings. - Develop prompts and test large language model behavior against practical use cases. - Build evaluation pipelines and tools for model comparison, benchmarking, iteration, and performance tracking. - Work with search and indexing data systems that support AI and intelligence workflows. - Assess commercial and open-source models for quality, cost, alignment, and reliability. - Partner with product, engineering, and security teams to ship, monitor, and continually improve AI features.

Requirements - Four to six or more years in data science, machine learning engineering, or applied AI, including at least two years of software engineering experience; Python is preferred. - Strong grounding in both large language models and traditional machine learning methods. - Practical experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation, including offline measures, cross-validation, or A/B testing. - Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face. - Experience with Elasticsearch or comparable search and indexing platforms, plus cloud ML tools and data workflows. - Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects.

Nice to have A technical bachelor’s degree and experience training and deploying supervised models in production.
