Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior technical product manager role on an AI data platform team that builds foundational tools, services, and infrastructure for internal product teams to integrate AI into healthcare products. The work sits at the intersection of machine learning systems, data engineering, and applied healthcare AI, with a focus on production-grade agentic retrieval and context graph solutions that let LLM-powered tools find and use relevant clinical data.
Responsibilities - Cultivate a shared vision with business owners for the problem space, constraints, priorities, and end state, and advocate for it across stakeholders. - Lead the full lifecycle of ML and LLM platform workstreams, from data ingestion and training through deployment and ongoing optimization against live performance metrics. - Develop detailed user stories capturing business rationale, requirements, and success criteria defined by measurable outcomes. - Build short- and long-term roadmaps that deliver value with minimum risk and assume ongoing iteration. - Partner with AI researchers to mature proofs-of-concept into production-ready capabilities. - Validate model performance through hands-on exploration of user feedback, healthcare records, and validation datasets.
Requirements - 8+ years of product management experience in technology, technology-enabled services, or SaaS. - Robust understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and related tooling. - Experience using data and primary research to inform solution design and build internal business understanding. - Experience working with Agile teams, Jira, and the software development lifecycle. - Strong understanding of APIs, DevOps, enterprise software development, cloud infrastructure (Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure), and data engineering principles. - Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders and to translate ambiguous requirements into a technical roadmap.
Nice to have - Track record building or leading products for an AI/ML platform team that scales vertically and horizontally. - Experience launching AI/ML platforms, tools, or internal services that enable other product teams. - Deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, and scalable AI infrastructure, including training, deployment, monitoring, observability, and reliability. - Hands-on experience with large language models, generative AI, prompt engineering strategies, or vision-language models. - Prior experience working as a data scientist or backend engineer. - Clinical data literacy: familiarity with EHR data, claims, or population health datasets, ideally in a healthcare technology environment with physician-facing products.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-eligible position with the ability to work from home for extended periods. - Prolonged computer and keyboard use; occasional walking and lifting may be required.
