Role overview A mobile-focused frontend engineering position responsible for building and maintaining user interfaces for a large-scale marketplace, spanning search and filters, favorites, shopping cart, and order management on mobile and web. The role sits at the intersection of design, product, and engineering, contributing to high-performing customer experiences for millions of users over the coming year.
Responsibilities - Own software end-to-end, from design and development through testing and production release - Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product owners to shape product experiences - Architect and develop user interfaces that balance usability, maintainability, and performance - Build features daily using a TypeScript, Storybook, React, and React Native stack - Review pull requests and share knowledge across the team, while also learning from peers - Deploy features through an established CI/CD pipeline and contribute to occasional on-call rotations - Propose new techniques, patterns, and tools through architecture decision records
Requirements - 5+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience - Hands-on experience building mobile applications with React Native - Strong grasp of structured HTML and CSS for building user interfaces - Familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling - Awareness of web performance optimization techniques - Solid foundations in UX/UI design and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Comfort working with a distributed team
