UNIX / OS Systems Admin

Role overview Join a federal services technology team supporting critical US government missions. This UNIX and operating systems administration role manages the OS, virtualization, and storage layers that underpin enterprise Oracle workloads, with a mix of on-premises infrastructure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services. The position reports to the Oracle Technical Lead and contributes to hardening, patching, backup, and continuity practices that meet federal compliance baselines.

Responsibilities - Manage Oracle Linux and UNIX environments using Spacewalk, OS Management Hub, and Ansible for builds, hardening, patching, and monitoring. - Administer VMware ESXi and vCenter alongside Dell Unisphere and NetApp SANtricity storage systems. - Support OCI compute and storage, extending infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform and Ansible. - Oversee Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and container operations. - Execute backup operations and continuity testing aligned to federal hardening baselines. - Collaborate with engineering and database teams to ensure OS-layer reliability for dependent Oracle workloads.

Requirements - Hands-on Oracle Enterprise Linux administration experience. - Working knowledge of Ansible for configuration and automation. - Practical experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter. - Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms and virtualization in regulated environments. - Oracle Linux System Administrator credential (or equivalent demonstrated expertise). - US Citizenship is required due to the federal mission scope.
