Senior Database Admin

Role overview This position is for a Senior Database Administrator focused on PostgreSQL environments running in the cloud. The role centers on keeping database platforms highly available, secure, performant, and compliant while supporting modernization efforts such as migrating legacy Access databases into PostgreSQL and standing up new instances as the workload grows.

Responsibilities - Manage, secure, and tune PostgreSQL database instances deployed in cloud environments. - Migrate an existing Microsoft Access database to PostgreSQL and build new databases to meet evolving requirements. - Ensure high availability, strong security posture, and reliable performance across the data platform. - Apply infrastructure-as-code practices to provision and maintain database infrastructure. - Partner with cloud engineering, application development, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, well-governed data services. - Align database operations with enterprise compliance and governance standards.

Requirements - Hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL in production environments. - Proficiency with data modeling techniques and methodologies. - Practical experience writing triggers and stored procedures. - Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS). - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling. - U.S. citizenship.
