Role overview
This position centers on moving structured and unstructured content—including PeopleSoft records, PDFs, images, and custom repository material—into an enterprise content management platform such as OpenText xECM. The consultant designs, builds, and runs ETL/ELT pipelines tailored to legacy source systems while resolving issues around data structure, format, and volume. It is a hands-on technical role embedded within cross-functional teams serving federal agency missions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute migrations of structured records and unstructured files into xECM or comparable ECM platforms - Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines designed for PeopleSoft and custom repository sources - Diagnose and resolve migration defects involving data structures, ingestion rules, and high-volume processing - Partner with business stakeholders, PeopleSoft administrators, and repository owners to define scope, cutover plans, and post-migration verification - Produce migration artifacts including mappings, runbooks, and exception-handling procedures - Collaborate with functional consultants to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business and governance needs
Requirements
- At least two years of experience with ETL/ELT development and data-migration methodologies - Hands-on familiarity with PeopleSoft data structures and custom repositories - Demonstrated experience migrating unstructured content (PDFs, images, scanned files) into enterprise content management systems - Strong troubleshooting skills for migration issues, ingestion errors, and large-scale data challenges - Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders - Proven ability to document mappings, validation processes, and migration procedures in detail

- U.S. Citizenship required - Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance - Posted pay range in listed locations: $100,200–$203,400 USD
