Role overview Join a federal mission-focused technology team as a Data Scientist/Application Developer building analytic applications that turn complex datasets into actionable insight for defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health programs. The role blends hands-on data science with full-stack application development on platforms like Palantir Foundry.
Responsibilities - Conduct exploratory data analysis across structured and unstructured sources - Cleanse, normalize, aggregate, and model data for analytic workflows - Design and build analytic applications, dashboards, and interactive workflows in Palantir Foundry - Apply statistical methods including regression, clustering, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing - Develop AI/ML capabilities such as LLMs, NLP, and RAG/GraphRAG inside analytic workflows - Build visualizations and metrics that support executive and operational decision-making - Collaborate in Agile/Scrum settings to iterate rapidly on solutions - Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements - U.S. citizen (no dual citizenship) - Active DoD Secret clearance - Strong data science experience including EDA, wrangling, modeling, and statistical analysis - Proficiency in Python and libraries such as pandas, polars, and PySpark - Experience with AI/ML tooling such as scikit-learn, statsmodels, Prophet, spaCy, or NLTK - Production-grade experience building analytics apps, dashboards, or notebooks - Background in statistics, mathematics, operations research, or applied sciences
Nice to have - Hands-on Palantir Foundry work with pipelines, transforms, Workshop, Ontologies, or AIP - Building AI-enabled applications with LLMs, NLP, RAG, or GraphRAG - Rapid analytic demos built with Streamlit - Model deployment and ML/AI serving architectures - Familiarity with TypeScript
Benefits and work setup - Base pay range listed between $100,200 and $203,100 USD, varying by location and experience
