Remote job
Product Manager — Service of Process
Job details
About this role
Role overview A tech-forward, tech-enabled legal services company is hiring a Product Manager to own part of its Service of Process product line, spanning a field mobile app for process servers, a customer web portal, enterprise-facing APIs, and the proprietary platform behind job assignment, routing, evidence chain, and task management. Reporting to the CTO, the role carries a genuine upstream product mandate, modeling discovery, market insight, and outcome ownership for a team that has historically been delivery-strong but lighter on those upstream practices.
Responsibilities - Own outcomes end-to-end across one or more Service of Process surfaces, including APIs and integrations, the proprietary assignment and evidence platform, the customer web portal, and the field mobile app. - Set and defend priority order across what gets built, what waits, and what stops, and maintain a rolling roadmap tied to business outcomes that is revised openly when evidence changes. - Run structured discovery: ride along with process servers in the field, sit with operations, interview customers, and turn win/loss, support themes, and usage data into a written point of view. - Serve two distinct user populations: external customers who want speed, price, and certainty, and internal operators whose throughput drives the business. - Write crisp problem statements, success criteria, edge cases, and jurisdictional constraints; own features, stories, iteration planning, and PI planning inside a SAFe cadence. - Lead launch readiness end-to-end, including rollout, internal enablement, support readiness, migration, rollback path, and post-release outcome verification, given there is no separate QA team.
Requirements - Several years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or platform products, with comfort making prioritization calls under capacity limits. - Evidence of shifting a team from output-driven to outcome-driven product work, including introducing discovery practices and influencing peers and leaders. - Strong customer curiosity and the ability to translate operational and regulatory needs into product requirements alongside trade-off calls. - Working knowledge of data integration patterns (APIs, file feeds, webhooks) and experience with B2B APIs, integrations, versioning, developer docs, and enterprise technical requirements. - Comfort with data: ability to pull own numbers and build a view without waiting on analysts; SQL is a plus. - Experience owning release quality without a dedicated QA function, plus some go-to-market experience such as launch messaging, sales enablement, or customer rollout. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, plus familiarity with a scaled agile framework.
Nice to have - Native mobile product experience (iOS/Android), especially apps used by field workforces. - Background building products for internal operators whose throughput is the business. - Experience shipping AI-assisted features with a point of view on where automation belongs and where it does not. - Exposure to legal services, legal tech, process serving, litigation support, courts, or another regulated industry.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 depending on experience. - Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; life, AD&D, and long-term disability; FSA options; EAP; pet insurance. - Paid time off, seven paid company holidays, and four floating holidays. - Full-time Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., remote.
