Senior Product Designer, Member App

Role overview This senior individual contributor role leads design for a member-facing application at the center of a virtual specialty care platform for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity. The designer owns problems from discovery through detailed interaction, visual design, implementation, and iteration, partnering closely with clinicians, product managers, engineers, QA, and other designers. The work blends behavior-change design, accessibility, and data-informed decision-making to make complex care easier to follow through on.

Responsibilities - Lead design across labs, medications, virtual visits, education, nutrition, tracking, and habit-building experiences within the member app. - Design onboarding, care tasks, and re-engagement flows that help members understand their next steps and act on them. - Define success metrics with the squad, instrument key interactions, and assess activation, conversion, retention, and sustained engagement. - Build prototypes beyond static mockups when needed, including code-based and AI-assisted prototypes to test behavior and collaborate with engineers. - Run user research to validate assumptions, identify pain points, and inform product decisions. - Strengthen the design system by collaborating on accessible components and interaction patterns. - Partner with clinicians, coaches, and care coordinators to ensure member-facing decisions support care team workflows.

Requirements - Demonstrated craft leading design for a consumer product or substantial product area, from ambiguity to shipped outcome. - Clear point of view with the ability to critique work, respond to feedback, and pivot when evidence warrants it. - Comfort with product metrics, including activation, funnel conversion, task completion, and retention. - Thoughtful approach to behavior-change design that avoids guilt, pressure, or shame, especially for vulnerable members. - Research skills for choosing methods, asking useful questions, and translating findings into product changes. - Fluency with modern prototyping tools, including Figma and AI-assisted tools, plus practical accessibility expertise.
